Mendy Claridge was appointed to the board of directors for WoodLINKS USA, an industry-supported woodworking education initiative.

“With 14 years of wood manufacturing experience and expertise in sustainability, quality and lean processes, Claridge aligns perfectly with the goals and future advancement of WoodLINKS USA,” the organization said in a statement.

Claridge is the sustainable and technical product solutions manager for National Office Furniture, a brand unit of Kimball International Inc., where she manages product performance, specializes in responding to unique customer requirements and leads company initiatives in sustainability, according to WoodLINKS USA.

At National, she serves as the chairman of the Engineering Change Control Board, Quality Sustainable Management team, and the council leader of National’s Sustainability Council. She holds certifications as an American Society of Quality technician and as a LEED AP ID+C, an accredited professional that supports the certification of the U.S Green Building Council’s LEED Green Building Rating System.
