Woodcraft adds Mirka Ceros sanders

Woodcraft Supply added the new Mirka Ceros compact electric random-orbital sanders to its portable power tool lineup.

"Mirka's new premium line of DC-powered sanders is designed to be used in professional applications by consistently delivering the highest quality finish without the added cost of traditional maintenance and repair," says Woodcraft power tool manager Andrew Bondi, in a news release.

Available in 5" and 6" models, the Ceros sanders are half the size and weight of traditional sanders for easy handling. A brushless DC motor provides a smooth, quiet and maintenance-free operation that should continue for years to come. Digitally controlled variable speeds from 4,000 rpm to 10,000 rpm deliver the ideal finish for a variety of applications. Because they are designed to use standard 5/16" backing pads, Ceros sanders can be used with a variety of hook-and-loop and vinyl-faced pads, according to Woodcraft.

A 12' cord is included. Each sander also comes with a multihole backing pad, a pad wrench, a sample pack of Mirka abrasives, a quick start DVD, owner's manual and three-year warranty.
