Mark Chappell, vice president of Alexander Dodds Co. in Grand Rapids, Mich., was elected to a two-year term as president of the Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America.
The WMMA is a trade association of U.S. manufacturers of woodworking machinery, cutting tools and supplies.
John Schultz, president of Super Thin Saws in Waterbury, Vt., was elected vice president. Jamison Scott, corporate officer of Air Handling Systems by Manufacturers Service Co. in Woodbridge, Conn., was elected to serve a one-year term as treasurer.
Other directors elected to serve three-year terms were Richard Cowan, president of Rees-Memphis in Memphis, Tenn.; Allen Turk, chairman and CEO of Precision Drive Systems in Bessemer City, N.C.; and Linda Wyant, vice president of Safranek Enterprises Inc., Her-Saf Products, of Atascadero, Calif.
Kenneth R. Anselm, CEO of Western Cutterheads Inc. & Mattison Rotary Lathes LLC, in La Center, Ky., was elected to serve a one-year term.
The elections took place at the WMMA Business Session held April 22 during the 18th Woodworking Industry Conference in Monterey, Calif.
The next Woodworking Industry Conference will be held May 3-8, 2011 at the Marco Island Marriott Resort and Spa in Florida.
