Makita U.S.A. has released two new tools on its XGT 40-volt battery platform, a 6” random orbit sander and a plunge router.
The sander, model GOB01, “delivers up to 40 percent more power than an equivalent pneumatic sander but without the hassles of a cord or hose. It features variable speed control, a swirl free finish, and it was engineered to have an ultra-low profile with superior ergonomics,” the company explained in a statement.
The plunge router, model GPR01, "delivers the power of a 2-1/4-hp corded router, with up to 30 percent less weight when compared to corded. It features variable speed control, up to 2-3/8" plunge capacity, and soft start feature that allows for smoother start-ups and better accuracy.”
