TOH crew to promote trades at JLC Live

Informa Exhibitions and This Old House are partnering at the JLC Live New England Residential Construction Show taking place Mar. 27-30 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, R.I., to promote the importance of apprenticeships for the building and construction industry.

The crew from This Old House, including host Kevin O’ Connor, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, contractors Charlie Silva and Jeff Sweenor, and Nathan Gilbert, former This Old House Generation Next apprentice and newest member of the team, will all attend and speak at the Rebuilding the Trades programs Mar. 29 and 30

“We are proud to be partnering with Informa Exhibitions at JLC Live New England to shine a spotlight on the skills gap, promote the rewards of careers in residential construction, and give young people a path to apprenticeships,” Eric Thorkilsen, executive chairman of This Old House Ventures, said in a statement.
