ShopBot Tools launched Handibot App HQ, an online forum for makers and other DIYers to submit their ideas for software applications for ShopBot's Handibot.

The Handibot is a portable robotic power tool for job-site use and can be run from a smartphone or tablet, as well as from PC's.

"Handibot Smart Tools have amazing cutting and machining capabilities, yet their potential to empower the widest utilization will depend on the availability and convenience of a range of software apps,” ShopBot president Ted Hall said in a statement. “This summer we crowd-sourced funding via Kickstarter to develop the tool; on the heels of that success we're now crowd-sourcing ideas for apps to help grow the potential of this unique smart tool."

"We've already heard dozens of cool ideas from the community," Handibot developer David Bryan said. "Now we're excited to have a central place where folks can share their ideas, rate ideas, and most importantly interest app developers to turn these useful notions into working apps."
