Sherwin-Williams renames division

Sherwin-Williams announced that it changed the name of its chemical coatings division to the product finishes division.

Following the acquisitions of industrial wood finishing leaders Becker Acroma and Sayerlack in 2010, the newly expanded Sherwin-Williams product finishes division now boasts a strong presence in Europe, adding significant manufacturing and distribution capabilities. These acquisitions also added to the company’s existing infrastructure in China and Asia, doubling its capabilities, according to the company.

“The time was right to reflect our expanded footprint with a name that articulates the division’s focus on providing finishes that meet customers’ performance, compliance and aesthetic demands,” product finishes division president Drew McCandless said in a statement.
