Rockler Cos., a multichannel retailer and manufacturer of woodworking equipment and supplies, named Ron Hornbaker as its new CEO.
Hornbaker will be spearheading Rockler’s growth in new retail markets and online, according to the company.
"I am honored to join Rockler, a company rich in both heritage and reputation,” Hornbaker said in a statement. “Rockler has over 61 years of experience helping woodworkers of all skill levels build furniture, cabinetry and other handcrafted items. That brings brand authenticity that is rare to find these days. And, with much of their product development done in-house, they have innovative tools and accessories that you just can’t find anywhere else. This is a really exciting opportunity.”
Ann Jackson, chairman of the family-owned company, added: "We are excited to have someone with Ron’s experience growing retailers on board and we are looking forward to his leadership as Rockler expands its customer base and markets.”
According to Hornbaker, Rockler will be growing its markets through new stores, new products and improved alignment of the company’s multiple business channels: stores, online, catalogs, wholesale and media. The company is opening two new stores this fall in Florida and California, bringing the company-owned store count to 31, with plans for additional stores next year.
