Rev-A-Shelf acquires Widmer GmbH

Rev-A-Shelf LLC announced the acquisition of Widmer GmbH. The business, which was renamed Widmer By Rev-A-Shelf GmbH, is a leading European provider of functional storage products.

“The acquisition of Widmer GmbH is a perfect transition for Rev-A-Shelf into the European cabinet industry,” Rev-A-Shelf general manager David Noe said in a statement. “Widmer is a smaller version of Rev-A-Shelf with injection molded Lazy Susans and a growing line of cabinet storage solutions. The ability to build our brand and expand the customer base for Tresco Lighting and innovative organizational products is an exciting development for our future. We will be introducing the formation of our new business at the Interzum show in Cologne, Germany in May.”

Rev-A-Shelf also announced the hiring of Marco Capuano as its director of international business.

"Widmer’s acquisition will transform Rev-A-Shelf’s capability in Europe and enhance our strategic positioning as a global player,” Capuano said in the statement. “Rev-A-Shelf will gain access to the European and World markets and Widmer will be able to expand its product lines with the large Rev-A-Shelf product range.”
