The National Association of the Remodeling Industry announced the addition of two chapters covering Staten Island, N.Y., and the Greater Cleveland area.

"We are proud to welcome the Staten Island and Cleveland chapters into NARI," says Michael Hydeck, president of Hydeck Design Build and NARI National, in a statement. "I can speak for our entire board of directors, who work tirelessly to build a strong community of remodeling business leaders nationwide. These groups' missions aligned with NARI's core purpose, of advancing and promoting the remodeling industry's professionalism, product and vital public purpose, that this was a perfect fit."

The new members are a direct outcome of NARI's strategic plan, which named membership growth and retention as a top priority this year. "A major focus this year is strengthening NARI membership, and one of the ways we are doing this is by affiliating smaller, related groups into our association by providing them with the support and resources they need in today's market," Hydeck said.

NARI leaders will welcome representatives from both chapters during the 2011 Fall Business Meeting held Oct. 5-8 at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa in Newport Beach, Calif.
