Quincy Compressor acquires Five Scales Technologies

Quincy Compressor announced the acquisition of Scales Industrial Technologies, based in Carle Place, N.Y., and which operates five locations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

The company has been a Quincy distributor for more than 50 years.

“This acquisition allows us to focus on growing the business with the intention of strengthening our market presence in the Northeastern region,” Quincy Compressor president John Thompson said in a statement.

Scales has about 180 employees and is focused on distribution, service and rental of compressors and air treatment systems for use in applications such as medical, general manufacturing and industrial. The business will operate as a division of Quincy Compressor LLC.
