Porter-Cable set to offer cordless oscillating tool

Porter-Cable will introduce an 18-volt oscillating multitool to the market in June.

The tool’s performance, compact size and compatibility with Porter-Cable’s 18-volt lithium-ion and nickel-cadmium battery platforms makes it ideal for remodelers, carpenters, general contractors and other tradesmen who are completing cutting, sanding, scraping and grinding applications on the jobsite, according to the company.

“When we spoke to users they really appreciated the versatility of using the oscillating multi tool for many different applications, but they also expressed their frustration with the lack of run time,” product manager Wil Granger said in a statement. “With our customers’ frustrations in mind, we are launching an 18-volt cordless oscillating tool under $200.”
