Panasonic debuted dual voltage technology for its Tough IP line of lithium-ion cordless power tools at the 2012 Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association show in Orlando Fla.
The dual-voltage technology allows select Panasonic tools to be used with an 18- or 14.4-volt battery pack.
“Our top priority at Panasonic is to manufacturer the most innovative cordless power tools on the market in order to better serve our customers and help them do their jobs more accurately and efficiently while on a job site,” said John Olson, Industrial Sales Manager, Panasonic Assembly Systems.
“With the introduction of the dual voltage technology to our Tough IP line, we are providing our customers with premium tools with multiple functions, but without adding more weight to their tool belts,” said the company’s industrial sales manager John Olson, in a release.
The proprietary technology is now available with Panasonic’s cordless 1/2-inch drill and driver kit, 1/4-inch hex quick-connect impact driver kit, 1/2-inch square drive impact wrench, and the reciprocating saw (tool only).
