Nova’s new drill press wins innovation award

Nova’s new DVR "smart motor" 18” drill press won a Pro Tool Innovation award, according to the company.

The drill press features the Digital Variable Reluctance motor, developed and designed by DVR Technology Developments.

“We are thrilled that the Nova DVR drill press won this award,” DVR Technology president Joel Latimer said in a statement. “Through our affiliation with Teknatool/Nova, we have been working to perfect this motor and its application in a variety of industries for more than 10 years, and to be judged an innovation winner by a panel of professional tradesmen as well as general contractors and builders is quite an honor.”

The drill press will be available for retail sale in January, according to Nova.
