The National Kitchen & Bath Association, along with sponsors Kohler, This Old House, Waypoint Living Spaces, HGTVPro.com, GE Monogram, and ServicemagicPros.com, announced its call for entries to the 2011 NKBA Design Competition.
Entry forms and competition rules can found at NKBA.org/Competition.
The industry competition, held annually, honors designers from across the U.S. and Canada who show exceptional aptitude for the incorporation of technology, beauty and creativity in their residential design solutions for the kitchen and bathroom. The entries are judged by NKBA-certified experts in nine room categories including Small Kitchen, Medium Kitchen, Large Kitchen, Open Plan Kitchen, Powder Room, Small Bathroom, Large Bathroom, Master Bathroom and Showroom.
Entries can also be judged for the "Best Of" Awards, among which include Best Kitchen and Bathroom, Best Before & After for Kitchen and Bathroom, and Best Sustainable Kitchen and Bathroom. As part of a new award in 2010, the finalists for the People's Pick Kitchen and Bathroom Award were viewed by 2.7 million consumers on HGTV.Pro. The latest additions to the competition lineup for 2011 are the Budget-Friendly Kitchen and Bathroom Awards, acknowledging exceptional designs that implement cost-effective solutions.
Cash prizes will be awarded in amounts of up to $15,000 and the results of the competition will be announced April 26 at the NKBA's 2011 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas. The winners will be awarded at an exclusive luncheon ceremony open only to press, top designers and select industry leaders.
