A panel of hardwood lumber importers from several key global markets will collaborate with select U.S. exporters to share their thoughts about the export markets for North American hardwoods on Sept. 23 at the National Hardwood Lumber Association’s annual conference in Nashville, Tenn.
The panel will be moderated by Mike Snow, executive director of the American Hardwood Export Council.
Panel members include Chad Cole of Imololegne (Italy); Alex Zamora of Lumbermex (Mexico); Dominic McNeil of Britton Timbers (Australia); Nguyen Thien Thang of Scansia Pacific Furniture (Vietnam), and Andy Cheng of Sustainable Timber Inc. (Hong Kong, China).
Topics for discussion will include global market share for manufacturers of North American hardwoods; environmental policies and certifications; strengths and weaknesses of North American suppliers relative to competing suppliers, and species trends.
