Skil Power Tools, a subsidiary of the Robert Bosch Tool Corp., has brought three new routers to market with models 1817, 1827 and 1830.
They feature soft-start technology, micro-fine depth adjustment, an LED SiteLight for improved visibility and powered tool alert, a 1/2" collect capacity with a 1/4" collet adapter, dual position on/off switch and soft grip handles.
Model 1817 is a 1-3/4-hp fixed-based router with a quick-release lever for easy motor adjustments and removal. This router is suited for rounding and forming edges, as well as cutting basic patterns in wood, according to the company.
Model 1827 is a 2-hp plunge-base router featuring a quick-clamp release lever for easy motor adjustments and removal, a depth rod and adjustable turret for repeatable plunge routing applications and variable speed.
Model 1830 is a 2-1/4-hp combo router kit with an aluminum fixed base and an aluminum plunge base. Additional features include a quick-clamp release lever for easy adjustments and removal, a depth rod and adjustable turret for repeatable plunge routing applications and variable speed.
The 1817 and 1830 routers are now available at Lowe's stores nationwide and online with suggested retail pricing of $69.99 and $109.99, respectively.
