New cordless miter saw from Makita

Makita has a new cordless 7-1/2” miter saw, model XSL02Z, featuring a brushless motor and powered by two 18-volt lithium-ion batteries.

“The XSL02Z is the first in the cordless miter saw category to be powered by two 18-volt lithium-ion batteries,” the company said in a statement.

“With Makita’s exclusive 18-volt X2 technology users get 36-volt power and run-time without leaving the 18-volt battery platform. [The saw] features an efficient brushless motor that delivers 5,700 rpm, the fastest blade speed in the category, for true corded performance.”
