Bosch offers a new 18-volt reciprocating saw with a variable-speed trigger, allowing tradesmen to ease into a cut without concerns about potential binding or kickback, according to the company.

The saw, model GSA18V-083B, weighs 5.5 lbs. and measures only 15-3/4” in length, yet delivers up to 3,050 strokes per minute.

“This is a low-vibration, high-efficiency tool that’s built to get rough-cutting jobs done quickly and cleanly,” product manger Jim Stevens said in a statement.

The saw also features tool-less blade changing and an LED worklight.

The bare tool sells for $139.
