New 12-volt tools from Makita

Makita presents a new line of 12-volt cordless tools featuring lithium-ion slide-style batteries, including two drill/drivers with brushless motors, plus a hammer drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw and 3-3/8” circular saw.

“These next generation 12-volt ‘max’ cordless tools give users a more compact solution with more comfort and more capacity,” Makita senior product manager for cordless products Adam Livingston said in a statement.

“The slide-style battery means superior ergonomics and comfort, and allows go-to tools like the impact driver and drills to stand up on their own for added convenience. And for the first time we’re offering brushless motor 12-volt tools, as well as two and four amp-hour batteries for increased runtime.”
