The Wood Machinery Industry Association and Wood Machinery Manufacturers Association will provide an update on woodworking machinery standards at IWF 2014 in Atlanta.
The presentation is scheduled for Aug. 20 and will feature speakers from ISO and Eumabois associations in Europe, and the WMIA and WMMA. They will highlight the recent creation of the ANSI U.S. Technical Advisory Group for the purpose of bringing the latest ISO woodworking machinery standards to the U.S. for review, revision and harmonization with existing American machinery standards.
“We are inviting all members of the trade press, as well as all interested parties including technical engineers, safety managers and CEO’s of major woodworking manufacturers and educational institutions with woodworking curriculums to attend, according to WMIA executive vice president Riccardo Azzoni. “We hope to provide a better understanding of standards development and the importance of unified standards for the entire industry.”
