Machinery expo scheduled at Hermance

Hermance Machine Co. in Williamsport, Pa., is celebrating its 110th year in business with an exposition May 17-18 featuring interactive and educational seminars.

It will include presentations and live machine demonstrations relevant to the wood, plastics, composites, metal machining, fabricating, and finishing industries.

The Hermance Expo differs from traditional shows in that the presentations are directed to improve customer processes, allowing for a collaborative environment with question-and-answer sessions for each concept in a public forum, according to the company.

Some of the hands-on education programs include setup and maintenance of edgebanders, molders and CNC fixturing; optimizing saw systems; lean manufacturing; material handling/labor reduction techniques and more. There will be approximately 15 focused courses/seminars scheduled for both days that will be beneficial to business owners, plant and production managers, as well as maintenance personnel and machinery operators.

Manufacturer’s representatives from the top lines in the industry will be present for the hands-on application forums and to address individual projects as well.
