Despite decreases in showroom visits and remodeling figures, kitchen and bath dealers are optimistic about their 2012 prospects, according to a survey by the National Kitchen & Bath Association.
The trade group’s market index, which measures dealer confidence on a scale of -60 to +60, was +32 for the fourth quarter of 2011. It was +9 for the third quarter.
However, the survey of approximately 150 kitchen and bath dealers, included the following results:
• Showroom visits were down 3 percent from the third quarter.
• Sales volume dropped 20 percent for kitchen remodeling and 2 percent for bathroom remodeling.
• Revenue was down 22 percent.
