The 10th annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge will be judged by Tim Fixmer, Wave Oglesby and Alfred Sharp.
The contest rewards excellence in the use of veneer and wood products through cash awards and other recognition for the entire supply chain including craftsmen, distributors and distributor sales representatives, and also student designers. Entries will be accepted through June 1. Competition categories include architectural woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, specialty products, store fixtures, and student design.
Fixmer is publisher CabinetMaker+FDM magazine and a member of the Woodwork Career Alliance education committee. Wave Oglesby is a 30-year veteran with Columbia Forest Products, currently serving as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. Sharp is a studio furniture maker in Woodbury, Tenn., and past president of The Furniture Society.
