IWPA celebrates World of Wood Convention
The International Wood Products Association (IWPA) declared the 2023 World of Wood Convention a success.
The International Wood Products Association (IWPA) declared the 2023 World of Wood Convention a success. It featured more than 250 importers, U.S. manufacturers, wholesalers, offshore suppliers, and service providers to the global wood products industry from 21 countries.
“There was a high level of energy at this year’s World of Wood,” Ashley Amidon, IWPA’s executive director, said in a statement. “From the opening welcome by Savannah Mayor Van R. Johnson to the passing of the president’s gavel on our closing night, this year’s gathering was among our best yet.”
The gavel was passed from outgoing IWPA president JoAnn Gillebaard Keller of Holland Southwest Int. to incoming president Jordan McIlvain of Alan McIlvain Co.
“A big thank you to all of our attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and the City of Savannah for making the 2023 World of Wood a tremendous hit,” Amidon added. “We look forward to building on our success at next year’s World of Wood at the beautiful Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.”
