IWF countertop symposium adds sponsor

The International Surface Fabricators Association and IWF added to the lineup of sponsors for the Countertop Symposium on Aug. 21. ( is an online source for solid surface sheet goods. The company offers leading brands of full and partial sheets searchable by color, brand, pattern, size and price. Users will also find color-matched adhesives, tools, sinks and soon the website will be announcing its “Countertop Pro Finder,” a resource for homeowners and other specifiers to locate professionals in their area. The company joins Laser Products Industries (, which specializes in digital countertop templating, and (, a provider of tools and supplies to fabricators of solid surface, plastic laminate, wood and stone, as sponsors for the event, which is part of the IWF educational lineup and takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The full-day symposium, titled Exploring Countertop Options: Turning Opportunity into Profit”,is designed to provide information to established countertop fabricators as well as cabinetmakers and casework providers who are exploring best practices for resourcing within the countertop market. Put on by ISFA, the presenters include the owners of successful countertop and architectural millwork companies who are well-versed in the technology, techniques and business requirements of countertop operations.

The session will cover residential and commercial operations, and encompasses information on a variety of countertop materials. It includes discussions on materials, machinery, outsourcing vs. in-house fabrication, and countertop trends.
