Craft in America, a documentary series on PBS, will begin its seventh season with an episode focusing on handmade instruments and the musicians who play them.

The “Music” episode will premiere Nov. 20 and feature interviews and performances by Joan Baez, Rhiannon Giddens, director of the Count Basie Orchestra Scotty Barnhart, banjo master Tony Ellis, Los Angeles Philharmonic timpanist Joseph Pereira, and ukulele player Jake Shimabukuro.

Instrument makers featured are Martin Guitar, Hartel Banjos, Monette trumpets, Stelling banjos and Kamaka ukuleles.
