Austin-based furniture designer Henry Levine received the Best in Show award at this year's "Design Within Reach: Modern+Design+Function" competition for his MP side table (above).

The table's base was made from salvaged cedar and the top from PaperStone, a composite material made from recycled office paper and a resin derived from the shells of cashew nuts.

M+D+F 2010 is an annual juried exhibition designed to uncover and promote innovative modern original designs by emerging designers in Texas. Organized by the Design Within Reach, an Austin studio, M+D+F provides and opportunity for peer, public, and professional recognition for up-and-coming designers and firms.
