The first exhibition, "Outdoor Furniture: Everyone is Welcome," will run from June 15 to July 31 on Kresge Green, located between two buildings designed by Eero Saarinen in the heart of the MIT campus.

The entry deadline is Jan. 26. The jurors are furniture makers and educators Mark Del Guidice, Mitch Ryerson and Leah Woods, and Larry Sass, assistant professor of computation in MIT's Department of Architecture.

The second exhibition, "Six Degrees of Separation," will be a juried exhibition of furniture from artists who currently live or graduated from a school in New England. The exhibition is tentatively scheduled for June 10-30 at MIT's Compton Gallery and the entry deadline is Feb. 11. The jurors are Miguel Gomez-Ibanez, furniture maker and president of the North Bennet Street School in Boston; Meredyth Hyatt Moses, art curator and former owner of the Clark Gallery, Lincoln, Mass.; and Tom Loeser, furniture maker and professor at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis.

A digital catalog of both exhibitions will be produced and posted on the Furniture Society's Web site.
