EPA offers lean-production resources

The Environmental Protection Agency is now offering the following documents and guides to assist woodworking industry professionals on lean manufacturing:

Lean and Environment Toolkit offers practical strategies and techniques to lean implementers about how to improve lean results - waste elimination, quality enhancement and delivery of value to customers - while achieving environmental performance goals. The toolkit also provides tools to help your organization get better environmental performance from lean efforts on the shop floor.

Lean and Chemicals Toolkit offers lean implementers practical strategies and techniques for improving common lean results related to time, cost and quality while also reducing risk and enhancing environmental performance related to all aspects of chemical manufacturing, management and use.
