DeWalt is introducing two cordless miter saws and a cordless contractor’s saw, based on the company’s new FlexVolt battery system.

The FlexVolt 60-volt battery automatically changes voltage when the user changes tools. The system is backwards compatible with most existing DeWalt 20-volt Max tools and chargers.

Two FlexVolt batteries power the new 12” fixed head compound and 12” sliding compound miter saws. The saws can also be used with a corded power supply accessory.

One FlexVolt battery powers the 8-1/4” contractor’s table saw.

Other new tools in the FlexVolt system include a 7-1/4” circular saw, reciprocating saw, 1/2” stud and joist drill, and 4.5” and 6” grinders.

The tools will be available in October.
