CNC Software unveils Mastercam Router X5

CNC Software has released Mastercam Router X5, featuring new enhancements to improve shop floor productivity, according to the company.

Mastercam includes an automatic tool-path option that can read entire projects and have them automatically programmed using presets. And to minimize tool change, the feature-based machining drill option now recognizes block drill units that are configured in the active router machine definition. The drill can assign block drill tools and generate block drilling tool paths.

In Mastercam Router X5, both rectangular and TrueShape nesting support solid operations, including operations created by the tool paths. Parent operations, however, are not yet supported, according to the company.
