CAMaster, a U.S.-based manufacturer of fully integrated CNC routers, has released SmartCore, a CNC automation system, to power its next generation CNC routers.

SmartCore encompasses a Yaskawa developed CNC controller and Yaskawa motion components, including servo motors, amplifiers, communication buses and power supplies. It runs on Industrial Ethernet technology allowing speeds of up to 100 MBit and comes with a completely new operator-friendly machine interface called Compass with intuitive and easy to use screens, simplified part setup, full-featured file editing, and tool path simulation, according to the company.

“SmartCore constitutes a complete re-engineering of our CNC systems, and it has revolutionized the way our CNC routers perform. It incorporates all the industry’s latest technology and is built for the most demanding applications,” CAMaster Sales Director Cody Smith said in a statement.
