California shop produces certified window

Casagrande Woodworks, a cabinet and architectural millwork shop in Paso Robles, Calif., says it received the first Germany Passive House Institute window frame certification in the U.S. for its Synergist window.

Synergist is also the only Passive House Institute-certified solid timber-only, outswing casement window in the world and will be manufactured by Casagrande, according to the company.

Casagrande will exhibit the window in September at the Passive House North 2013 Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia .
