C.R. Onsrud, a CNC manufacturer in Troutman, N.C., participated in the second annual Made in America Product Showcase on July 23 at the White House.
“The White House decided they wanted to do an event to showcase American-made products that create jobs in America. So, they reached out to one company from every state where they could display what’s going on with prominent companies in those states,” explains Jeff Onsrud, director of business development for C.R. Onsrud, who attended with his father, CEO Tom Onsrud.
“We are involved with the National Association of Manufacturers, which nominated us to be part of it.”
C.R. Onsrud manufactures tailor-made, CNC machining solutions for a growing list of innovative, global manufacturers in the wood, plastic, non-ferrous and advanced materials industries.
“President Trump gave a speech to about 100 of us,” says Jeff Onsrud. “We got a chance to talk to a number of Congressmen that were very interested in manufacturing and job creation inside the U.S. A number of news outlets were there as well.
“It was a great experience to have that honor and a great reflection on our employees, distributors and customers and vendors that have contributed to our success.”
