The 2021 AWFS Fair has issued a Call for Proposals for the show’s College of Woodworking Knowledge educational seminar program.
Technical experts, exhibitors with an educational segment, business owners and managers, consultants and other wood products manufacturing professionals are invited to submit proposal ideas for seminars to be held at the AWFS Fair, July 20-23, 2021 in Las Vegas.
The entry deadline is Dec. 1, 2020.
Seminars are presented in a variety of time slots ranging from 60 minutes to three hours. The program includes classroom-style presentations, panels, demos and the SMART (Special Machinery and Relevant Technology) seminars for AWFS Fair exhibitors. Sessions will be offered in several tracks: Business Management; Cabinet, Millwork and Furniture; Software & Technology; Techniques & Applications; Workforce Development, and the Teacher Track which is specifically for woodworking educators.
Attendee feedback from the 2019 fair identified the following topics of interest for the 2021 program: CNC; robotics; small shops management and operations; lean management and continuous improvement; employee training, and employee attraction and retention.
