States Industries LLC, manufacturer of ApplePly in Eugene, Ore., launched an online retail outlet to allow consumers to purchase cut-to-size panels.

“The popularity of ApplePly among consumers and their difficulty in purchasing small quantities, especially in higher grades and popular species, prompted us to offer this direct channel,” company president Mike Taylor said in a statement.

BuyApplePly.com offers 11 specie/grade combinations in thicknesses from 1/4” through 1-1/2” and sizes from 2’ x 2’ to 4’ x 4’. Species include cherry, maple, oak, birch, teak, mahogany, walnut and anigre.

All ApplePly panels are made without urea-formaldehyde resins and many are certified by Forest Stewardship Council. Full sheet purchases continue to be routed through States’ traditional distribution channels. Selected Lowe’s locations carry cut-to-size ApplePly panels as well, according to the company.
