World of Wood reports attendance boost

Attendance increased 9 percent at the 2016 World of Wood convention in Austin, Texas, according to the International Wood Products Association, which also announced a leadership change.

Bronson Newburger of Clark Veneers and Plywood succeeds Craig Forester of Rex Lumber Co. as IWPA president.

“I’m excited to take the reins at IWPA and continue our efforts to grow membership, provide much needed resources to members as they tackle due diligence, and increase our outreach to organizations that share our dedication to ensuring the health of global forests. It’s going to be a busy year and I can’t wait to get started,” Newburger said in a statement.

Next year’s World of Wood is scheduled for Apr. 5-7 in San Francisco.
