Stiles Machinery hosted a full house at its Feb. 24-25 Manufacturing Solutions Seminar in High Point, N.C. the first of three planned for 2016, according to the company.
The event, held at Stiles’ showroom and finishing lab, sold out three weeks beforehand. More than 150 woodworkers attended educational sessions, machinery demonstrations and networking events, the company reported.
Stiles presented work-cell demonstrations that showcased new panel-processing technology for cabinet and furniture manufacturers including cutting and machining, edgebanding and drilling and dowel-insertion applications focused on European construction methods.
The second day of the event concentrated on door and face-frame construction applications including many forms of solid-wood processing, rip and crosscut lines, and a number of surface technologies including brush and orbital sanding. Quality control, time efficiencies and cost-savings were also a focal point in the company’s finishing lab, exhibited through a variety of spray and roll coating processes.
The next event is scheduled for early June. For information, visit www.stilesmachinery.com.
