Bruce King of BKFine Woodwork was the grand-prize winner in a raffle for an Ironwood shaper from Stiles Machinery at the Architectural Woodwork Institute's national convention in Denver.
Stiles introduced the Ironwood series of spindle shapers earlier this year as part of its classical machine line. The FX750 model provided to BKFine is a fixed-spindle machine with a 1-1/4" interchangeable spindle, 6-1/4" spindle capacity under the nut and five speeds.
"Introducing the Ironwood shaper in this venue was very exciting," says Stephan Waltman, vice president of sales and marketing at Stiles. "The AWI is a group focused on excellence, making this a really good fit. And Bruce was absolutely elated about winning the machine and anxious to put it to good use in his shop."
