Stair industry conference set for Charlotte, N.C.

The Stairway Manufacturers' Association will hold its 23rd annual conference April 7-10 in Charlotte, N.C., and pre-registration is 25 percent ahead of last year's pace, according to the trade organization.

The conference will offer an array of education and certification seminars. Networking opportunities will include the annual golf tournament. Attendees will benefit from member exhibitors showcasing stair-specific products including stair design software, laser projection, template systems and tooling.

Davis Woodruff will deliver the keynote address on finding more work, maintaining a downsized work force and how to survive on smaller margins.

The SMA StairCraft Awards for 2011 will be presented and elected directors and officers installed. The conference is open to anyone involved in the stair industry.
