SMA adds new executive director

Terra Erb is the new executive director of the Stairbuilders and Manufacturers Association, allowing former executive director Dave Cooper to focus on code development and consultation.

“Two years ago, the board met in Chicago to develop a strategic plan. In those meetings, we discussed the important issue of growth and how vital it was to distinguish the two roles that Dave Cooper performed, management and code development/consultation,” the board said in a statement.

“Dave Cooper has decided it is timely, in regard to both his personal interests and the SMA, to focus his efforts on code representation and pass on the day to day management of the association. We look forward to the impact he will make as he continues his efforts to advance code and quality standards for the SMA.

“Terra comes to us with a nine-year civilian career with the United States Air Force. She is a Kansas native and a graduate of Wichita State University and has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Management. Her professional work spans several fields, including marketing, education counseling, training, program management, and business administration.”
