Sarah Watlington is the recipient of the 2023 John D. Mineck Furniture Fellowship, administered by the Society of Arts + Crafts in Boston.
The fellowship provides financial assistance to help furniture artists in the early stages of their career.

“With the financial assistance of the fellowship, I will spend the next year designing and building sculptural bespoke record players and conceptual mixed media sculptures utilizing similar technologies. The fellowship will fund my studio space, the purchasing of electronic equipment and materials, as well as courses in large scale ceramic sculpture, audio/electrical engineering and 3D modeling.”
The fellowship is awarded by the Boston-based John D. Mineck Foundation. Learn more at societyofcrafts.org.
