The National Wood Flooring Association has provided flooring for its 26th home in partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment program that builds custom, specially adapted smart homes for severely wounded veterans and first responders.

The home dedication for U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Petty Officer 2 Class Taylor Morris took place on Apr. 5 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Flooring for the project was donated by NWFA member Mullican Flooring.

NWFA currently is working with its members to source wood flooring for 21 additional RISE homes in various stages of planning and construction. Currently, 54 NWFA member companies have donated product, logistics, and installation services in locations throughout the United States, with a total value of more than $4 million, according to the trade group.
