New job-site radio from Makita

Makita released a new 18-volt LXT lithium-ion job-site radio, model LXRM03B, with iPhone compatibility.

"We've kept the great sound and compact size that contractors liked about the existing jobsite radio, but with this new model we added more settings and iPhone compatibility. This is a perfect add-on for any contractor or build-it-yourselfer,” product manager Mario Lopez said in a statement.

With two auxiliary ports for MP3/iPod compatibility, the LXRM03B delivers stereo sound from two 3" speakers. The radio can be powered by any Makita pod- or slide-style battery, including up to 16 hours of runtime with the fast-charging 18-volt LXT lithium-ion battery, sold separately.

The radio also features protective bumpers and water-resistant construction.
