At its spring House of Delegates meeting, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry named immediate past president William E. Carter, of William E. Carter Co. in Sacramento, Calif., as its chairman of the board and elevated Paul Zuch, of Capital Improvements in Allen, Texas, to the office of president.
Zuch assumed the role of president after serving in the capacity of vice president for the last year. An active national leader, he has been an officer since 2006, and prior to that served as a regional vice president and a two-year term as president of the Greater Dallas NARI chapter.
"I'm encouraged with the new strategic direction we have moving forward, specifically in the areas of improved consumer awareness, reinforced membership value, improved government advocacy and improved work force development," Zuch says. "We have charted a clear course with specific goals and measurable objectives that will significantly elevate each of our members return on investment."
The remaining officers, also elected and announced during the meeting, include: president-elect Michael Hydeck, of Hydeck Design Build in Telford, Pa.; vice president Dean Herriges, of Urban Herriges & Sons Inc. in Mukwonago, Wis.; and secretary/treasurer Fred Spaulding, of Quality Home Improvements Inc. in Kingwood, Texas.
