Leaders of the IWF woodworking industry trade show have created a new incentive for 2010 attendees in light of many being affected by the global economic downturn.
"The IWF board of directors recognizes the importance of investing in our industry by providing our exhibitors financial assistance to help them showcase their products at IWF," said Riccardo Azzoni, IWF 2010 chairman and president of Atlantic Machinery Corp., based in New Millford, Conn.
IWF will provide a credit of $1 per sq. ft. that each paid exhibitor takes at the 2010 show for use towards drayage and/or electrical services use at IWF. Azzoni cited an example: "For an exhibitor with a 1,000-sq.-ft. booth, IWF will pay $1,000 towards the exhibitor's GES drayage bill. If the IWF credit is greater than the exhibitor's drayage bill, the remaining credit will be applied towards the exhibitor's Georgia World Congress Center electrical bill."
"Our industry needs to see the great products that we all have to offer at IWF. The Exhibitor Cost Assistance Program will help the exhibitors demonstrate the best products the industry has to offer and anything else would be shortchanging our attendee/buyers," added Azzoni.
