The International Society of Furniture Designers (ISFD) recently announced the 12 winners of its Innovation + Design 2021 Competition and Exhibition. Now in its second year, the juried event attracted 31 professional and student finalists.

“I want to thank all of the designers for sharing their very imaginative creations with us and the judges who were tasked with the challenging job of selecting just 12 incredible winners,” ISFD executive director John Conrad said in a statement. “It is our plan to continue to grow this juried competition each year to help recognize High Point (N.C.) as the design capital in not only the industry and our community, but also worldwide.”

Student Best of Show: Lectern by Dotan Applebaum of Golden Valley, Minn.

The contest was open to professional maker/designers and students throughout North America in the categories of seating, occasional tables, storage, lighting, accessories, and dining room furniture.
