Hardwoods, a provider of architectural building materials including hardwood plywood, hardwood lumber, composites, decorative surfaces, and outdoor living products, announces the opening of its newest and largest distribution center in Stockton, Calif., this June.
“This new facility reflects a strategic integration and expansion of three existing facilities in Livermore, Modesto, and Rancho Cordova, into one state-of-the-art location. The objective is to position Hardwoods for significant growth and provide enhanced service across Northern California,” the company said in a statement.
“Upon completion of the transition, Hardwoods will operate six facilities in the region. The new 150,000-square-foot facility, located at 3021 Boeing Way, just off the Golden State Highway near Arch Airport Road, features 27’-high clear span ceilings, 16 docks and five all-weather loading doors. The nine-acre site provides considerable room for future expansion. Its prime location and the installation of advanced automated systems will significantly improve operational efficiency, enabling Hardwoods to maintain a deeper and more diverse inventory closer to its customers.”
