Easy Inlay, a company dedicated to providing easy-to-inlay products, continues to expand its product line with tamisé gold flake used for resin casting and general inlay.
“Our new gold flake adds a rich, glittering accent to any creative project, and can be used in a number of ways,” said Scott Grove, furniture maker, teacher, author, and founder of Easy Inlay. “It’s economical, too; a little goes a very long way.”
Unlike flat gold sheets used for gilding, tamisé gold flake is tumbled and can be turned into smaller bits, making it easy to add a pop of gold into any inlay or resin casting for pens, knife handles, and more. It can be used with CA (cyanoacrylate) glue, resin, or epoxy beforehand and applied into a groove or knot, either alone or combined with other inlay materials like mother of pearl, crystal calcite, crushed opal, according to the company.
Tamisé gold flake (20g) sells for $19.95.
